Fiction
Fictional books refers to any type of literature that comes from the imagination. It will typically have a narrative and would normally be in the form of short stories and novels. Each fictional book will also have its own theme like sci-fi, mystery or adventure. Due to this, fiction books usually have the widest range of words. There are many benefits of reading these books which include developing creativity, improving vocabulary and analysing skills. Popular examples include Roald Dahl’s The BFG and Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Early Readers
Early readers, also referred to first readers, are a series of books that grow with the child as they learn to read. They start with picture books and reading simple words. They then progress to small phrases, sentneces and then harder words with chaptered books. Each collection will have a levelling sytem by using numbers or letters. These books are brilliant at giving the child confidence, scaffolding their learning as they enjoy reading fun books. A lot of thought has been put in the choice of words and harder words are usually identified before starting the book. There are many popular series including the Biff, Chip and Kipper collection and Julia Donaldson’s Early Readers.

Educational books
These books are aimed at assisting a childs education whether they study in school or at home. Most of them will aim to educate the readers on specific topics or concepts and can be widely used irrespective of what educational setting they are from. Some may be more targetted towards specific exam requirements. The aim of these books is to supoprt your child’s education by supporting, reinforcing and extending upon what they have learned.

Islamic
Islamic books refers to books that detail the fundamental beliefs, jurisprudence, manners and stories of Prophets, companions and other notable figures. They will inform and guide a child as they learn about their religion and draw benefits from stories.

Comic
These are books which portray a fictional story through the use of very expressive images, in the form of strips, and text. The text will usually container a higher proportion of dialogue and lower proportion of narration as compared to fictional stories. These books are usually more appealing to children of all ages and the unique style helps visual literacy and boosts comprehension. Popular series include Naruto and Pokemon Adventures.

Arabic
Our collection of Arabic books cater to early readers as well as older readers and will primarily be fictional stories. Many of the Arabic books will include the diacritical points which will help non native and younger readers to read.
